Change in the regional management team of ThyssenKrupp Elevator

Ramón Sotomayor to be new CEO of the Southern Europe/Africa/Middle East operating unit

Effective April 1, 2011 Ramón Sotomayor will take over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ThyssenKrupp Elevator’s Southern Europe/Africa/Middle East (SEAME) operating unit. The 47-year-old has been deputy CEO of the operating unit and Managing Director of the Regional Center Spain since November 2009 and has been with the company for more than 20 years, including five years as CEO of the Escalators/Passenger Boarding Bridges (ES/PBB) operating unit.

Ramón Sotomayor will succeed Javier del Pozo, who will retire from his duties after almost three decades with ThyssenKrupp Elevator, including seven years as CEO of the SEAME operating unit.
