TK Elevator introduces innovative “Light Assist” for stairlifts: A new solution for enhanced safety, comfort, and visibility

Düsseldorf (Germany), May 19, 2025 –TK Elevator (TKE), a global leader in mobility solutions, announces the launch of Light Assist, a groundbreaking innovation and unique in the stairlift industry. The Light Assist solution illuminates the seat, and footrest, setting a new benchmark in home mobility by enhancing safety, comfort, and visibility, guiding users for secure and confident stairlift operation.

With integrated sensors, Light Assist is automatically activated by nearby movement and intelligently adjusts brightness based on the surrounding lighting conditions, enabling users to better orient themselves as they approach the stairs and the stairlift. During use, the lights shine onto the stairs, making it easier to spot potential obstacles, ensuring that users can navigate safely, regardless of ambient light levels.

TK Home Solutions also has an integrated lighting feature installed into the stairlift with regards to the stairlift’s seatbelt that provides intuitive safety guidance during operation: a red light indicates the seatbelt is not fastened, a green light confirms the seatbelt is fastened, creating an additional safety feature, and a built-in safety mechanism which prevents the stairlift from operating without the seatbelt properly engaged, ensuring user safety at all times.
