TK Elevator receives Made in Europe Award for Innovation with EOX
- Made in Europe Award recognizes TK Elevator’s combination of European engineering, sustainable manufacturing and digital innovation.
- The EOX elevator brings eco-efficient and natively digital technology to elevators for low- and mid-rise buildings.
- Award presented at a gala in Berlin on the eve of the BIG BANG KI Festival.
Düsseldorf, September 16, 2026 – TK Elevator (TKE), a global leader in vertical transportation and urban mobility solutions, has received the 2026 Made in Europe Award in the Innovation category. The award recognizes the company’s work around EOX, its eco-efficient and natively digital elevator platform, as well as its broader use of data and artificial intelligence (AI). Through its Digital Operations Centers across Europe, TKE is further developing its service based on data- and AI-driven insights and improving the customer experience.
The award was presented in Berlin on September 15 and accepted on behalf of TK Elevator by Bora Gülan, CEO Europe Africa, and Matthias Gohl, Chief Digital Officer.
EOX was developed to make advanced energy-saving and digital features accessible for a broad range of low- and mid-rise buildings. Connectivity, lifecycle information and energy efficiency were integral parts of the platform from the outset. EOX combines European engineering and manufacturing expertise with digital technologies, also developed in Europe, that support more transparent and efficient building operations.
“We are honored to receive this recognition, which belongs to the many colleagues who have turned EOX from an ambitious idea into a strong and successful part of our business,” said Bora Gulan, CEO Europe Africa at TK Elevator. “EOX demonstrates what European industry can achieve when engineering excellence, customer focus and digital innovation come together. Our priority is to build on this momentum, continue investing in competitive products and capabilities, and create lasting value for our customers.”
The EOX elevator is designed and manufactured through TK Elevator’s European industrial network, including its facilities in Móstoles, Spain, and Esslingen, Germany. Its natively digital architecture, developed in TK Elevator’s software and digital expertise centers across Europe and globally, connects the elevator with TKE’s wider ecosystem of digital services and provides a foundation for further functionality over the equipment lifecycle.
“EOX represents a fundamental change in how we think about elevators: not as isolated pieces of equipment, but as connected products within an IoT framework and a data- and AI-driven service environment,” said Matthias Gohl, Chief Digital Officer at TK Elevator. “By combining equipment data, digital platforms and AI technology with our strong elevator subject-matter expertise, we can support our technicians more effectively, improve operational decision-making and provide customers with increasingly intelligent services.”
The Made in Europe – Award for Excellence is presented by the media platform DUP UNTERNEHMER and recognizes European companies for outstanding achievements in innovation, technology, entrepreneurship and leadership. An independent jury comprising representatives from business and media selects the award recipients. The 2026 ceremony took place on the eve of the BIG BANG KI Festival in Berlin.
