TK Elevator Showcases Technology-Driven Service Transformation at Databricks + AI Summit 2026

San Francisco, CA – June 2026 – Elevators are among the most relied-upon infrastructure in modern cities. Their function and reliability are critical to the operations of hospitals, office buildings and apartment blocks worldwide.

Today, at the Databricks + AI Summit 2026 in San Francisco, TK Elevator, a global leader in vertical transportation, will showcase how it is using Databricks as a core data and technology foundation to advance its digital journey and scale next-generation, technology-supported service operations across its global service business.to

Chief Digital Officer Matthias Gohl and Head of Global Digital Christian Jung will share how TK Elevator is scaling technology across its service operations to make day-to-day service more predictable and bring new tools and support directly to the people doing the work.

Helping technicians do their jobs—faster and with better information

Elevator systems are expected to run seamlessly 24/7, and when they don’t, technicians are sometimes dispatched with limited visibility into the issue ahead of time.

TKE’s approach changes that. By combining equipment data, service history and real-time analysis, the technology-supported service model can flag potential issues earlier, and recommend next steps.

The goal: fewer emergency calls, faster fixes and more time for technicians to focus on work that truly requires hands-on expertise.

Scaling knowledge to serve the workforce

The industry faces increasing pressure to preserve and scale institutional knowledge amid a global shortage of skilled technicians.

By embedding intelligence into its service systems, TK Elevator is creating a shared “digital playbook” that technicians can draw on in real time, ensuring that newer technicians can get up to speed quickly and expertise isn’t lost as the workforce evolves.

“TKE has been on a decade-long digital journey, and we are now integrating this foundation into our service operations,” said Gohl. “Our strategy is built on three core pillars: connectivity, a secure cloud and data platform, and agentic AI. These, deployed with our well-trained service technicians, now allow us to turn data and experience into actionable insights that improve uptime, accelerate issue resolution and support our teams in the field. This truly raises the bar in what we can do for customers.”

A network of “digital operations centers” backing the field

Central to this shift are TKE’s Digital Operations Centers—hubs where systems continuously analyze incoming data from connected elevators.

These centers act as a second set of eyes for field teams, turning raw data into clear recommendations. The company currently operates eight Digital Operations Centers worldwide, with more expansion planned.

A practical vision for technology in a trade industry

“Our focus is on applying technology in ways that deliver real value to our customers, and that means helping our technicians make better informed decisions,” says Jung. “We are combining deep domain knowledge with advanced data to reduce dependency on extensive troubleshooting and create a more predictable service experience. The results are quite astounding.”

Built on TK Elevator’s MAX smart monitoring platform and a long-standing data foundation with Azure Databricks since 2018, TKE’s system supports predictive maintenance, across a global network.

At the Databricks + AI Summit, that’s the story TK Elevator aims to tell – how advanced technology is enhancing one of the most essential jobs in modern cities.
