Today is Skyscraper Day

Today, September 3th, 2019, is International Skyscraper Day. In many cities of the world skyscrapers belong to the famous cityscape. The "Home Insurance Building" from 1885, which was demolished in 1931, was the first building to be considered as the world's first skyscraper. At the test tower in Rottweil, we test elevators for the skyscrapers of tomorrow. thyssenkrupp Elevator develops in the testtower the world's first ropeless elevator MULTI, which can travel vertically and horizontally, or the latest generation of TWIN elevators with two cabins travelling independently in the shaft. They are currently being installed in the Hudson Yards mega-construction project in Manhattan. These are the first TWIN elevators in New York City.
