Moving Walks Maintenance & Repair
The Importance of Regular Moving Walk Maintenance
Moving Walk Maintenance Procedures
Drive Inspection:
Proper drive lubrication and oil changes help prevent excessive wear and tear by minimizing friction and thereby reducing the need for frequent and more costly repairs.
Cleaning and Debris removal:
Regular cleaning removes debris and ensures optimal functioning of the units.
Handrail Maintenance:
Checking the handrails for signs of wear and calibration issues. If handrails are stretched too tightly, they can get damaged. A sign of handrail damage are grinding marks on the top of the handrails due to extensive pressure created by the rollers in the clamping stations.
Comb Plate Calibration & Maintenance:
The comb plate prevents debris, coins and larger objects from entering the moving walk and damaging the drive. During the inspection we check for proper alignment of the comb plate and the steps of the moving walks, as well as signs of damage to the comb plate teeth.
