TK Elevator launches MAX in China expanding its digital product portfolio

  • TK Elevator now increases its industry-leading digital product portfolio in China, the world's largest market
  • Cloud-based solution MAX optimizes asset maintenance and utilization through real-time analytics
  • Elevator users benefit from shorter travel times thanks to AGILE

Düsseldorf, April 20, 2022 – TK Elevator continues to drive the digitalization of the elevator industry: With MAX, the company now introduces its industry-leading cloud-based IoT solution to the Chinese market. It analyzes real-time data from connected elevators, escalators and moving walks, and thus enables optimal customer service for building operators and managers. They receive a real-time status on the functionality of elevators and escalators taking full advantage of predictive and smart maintenance. Thanks to the integration of MAX in digital partner products, they can easily manage their entire building infrastructure through one comprehensive platform.

With the introduction of MAX, TK Elevator significantly expands its cutting-edge digital offering in China. Introduced in North America and selected markets in Europe in 2015, MAX is the industry's first cloud-based predictive maintenance solution. It significantly increases the availability of units by analyzing real-time data from connected elevators and escalators. Since its market introduction, TK Elevator has further developed MAX into a technological platform that now offers additional applications, including intelligent monitoring systems and a digital emergency call system.

"With MAX, TK Elevator has laid the foundation for the digitization of the elevator industry. Following the successful market launch of our digital products in selected European countries and the U.S., customers in China will also benefit from digitally driven, more efficient mobility solutions. With the expansion of our digital offering in China, one of the most important markets for TK Elevator, we will further expand our market share in Asia and strengthen our position as a digitalization driver in the industry," says Peter Walker, CEO of TK Elevator.

As a state-of-the-art service for building operators and managers, MAX complements TK Elevator’s digital solution AGILE, which provides a unique experience to elevator users. AGILE offers both a tailored infotainment and more efficient passenger movement. Its customizable infotainment systems display multimedia content in the elevator, e.g., information on the building, up-to-the-minute news, and further individually defined updates. AGILE allows building managers to better manage visitor flows. Its innovative destination control system assigns passengers to the right elevator according to their destination floor, avoiding unnecessary stops and crowded cabins. The smartphone application AGILE Mobile takes this service one step further: Using the app, passengers profit from greater convenience as they can bookmark their destination floors and call an elevator at any desired time from anywhere in the building.
