Düsseldorf (Germany), January 21, 2026 – TK Elevator (TKE), a global leader in vertical transportation and urban mobility, has secured a landmark project in Korea to supply and install 103 elevators and escalators for the ambitious Seoul Station North Area Complex Development, including 13 cutting-edge TWIN systems across two office towers. TK Elevator celebrates a major milestone with the 11th full-scale project deployment of its innovative TWIN systems in Korea, with multiple system installations across landmark projects, reinforcing the company’s commitment to redefining urban mobility.

The office towers are part of the latest mixed-use project by Hanwha Corporation, a valued long-term partner of TK Elevator. To ensure fast, safe, and seamless vertical transportation for tenants and visitors in high-rise buildings, particularly in a building with high inter-floor traffic, TK Elevator’s efficient TWIN elevator system, which is unique in the market due to its two independent cabs in one shaft, was selected.

Located at the heart of Seoul’s primary transportation hub – seamlessly connecting ground transport, metro lines, conventional railways, express trains, and high-speed KTX services, the Seoul Station North Area Complex Development Project is a transformative redevelopment that is designed to turn underutilized land into a vibrant new commercial district, an area where TKE has proven expertise through transportation-hub projects worldwide.

This project allows us to further strengthen a long-standing partnership with our innovative TWIN solution,” said Billy Cho, CEO of TK Elevator Korea. “Having supplied and installed elevators across numerous residential and commercial projects over the years for the customer, we are proud to continue earning their trust and delivering solutions that meet their needs.”

Korea remains one of the most innovative and exciting vertical transportation markets globally. Winning another 13 TWIN systems for this landmark project clearly reaffirms TK Elevator as a leader in Korea’s high-rise and transportation infrastructure segment,” said Jürgen Böhler, CEO Asia Pacific, TK Elevator. “With its ability to optimise passenger flow and enhance efficiency through the reduction of the core’s footprint in tall buildings, TWIN remains the solution of choice for many of the region’s most ambitious developments – and a cornerstone of our growth strategy across Korea and the entire Asia-Pacific region.”

About TWIN
TK Elevator’s breakthrough TWIN elevator system delivers exceptional efficiency in buildings 50 meters and higher – by using two passenger cars operating independently in the same shaft. The TWIN elevator system uniquely operates two cabins, arranged on top of each other, that operate independently in one shaft. Each elevator has its own traction drive, controller, ropes, counterweight and governor and share the same guide rails and landing doors. The cabins always operate at a minimum safety distance.
