TK Elevator secures major nationwide service contract with DSB in Denmark

  • Five-year service agreement covers maintenance of over 200 elevators and escalators and 160 additional mobility units across DSB network.
  • Partnership ensures greater reliability and efficiency for passenger mobility infrastructure.
  • Agreement underscores TK Elevator’s Universal Service multi-brand service expertise and long-term partnership approach.
  • Combined with a recent Banedanmark contract, TK Elevator now services over 500 mobility units supporting passenger rail travel across Denmark.

Düsseldorf (Germany), September 4, 2025 – TK Elevator (TKE), a global leader in vertical transportation and urban mobility, has been awarded a significant nationwide service contract by Danske Statsbaner (DSB), the largest railway company in Denmark. The five-year agreement covers multi-vendor maintenance over 200 elevators and escalators and 160 other mobility units across S-train networks as well as long-distance and regional stations throughout Denmark. The partnership aims to ensure smooth operations through enhanced quality and reliability in the maintenance of DSB’s mobility infrastructure.

DSB operates most of the country’s passenger train services, including regional, intercity, and S-train networks in and around Copenhagen. The new agreement further expands TKE’s footprint in Denmark, building on the nationwide service contract secured with Banedanmark earlier this year for abpve 165 units of elevators and escalator. Together, these contracts position TKE as a key partner in maintaining over 500 mobility units, supporting the accessibility and reliability of public transport infrastructure.

Bora Gülan, CEO Europe Africa at TK Elevator stated: “We are proud to be trusted by DSB to support the critical mobility infrastructure that keeps Denmark moving. This partnership reflects our commitment to delivering world-class service across a wide range of equipment and our ability to meet the evolving needs of public transport systems. With a proven track record in major metro and railway projects across Europe and Africa, TK Elevator continues to lead the way in shaping the future of urban mobility – both in the Nordics and beyond.”

TK Elevator’s Universal Service sets the standard for proactive, flexible, and multi-brand elevator and escalator maintenance. Through its International Technical Services, its extensive range of stocked spare parts, and the expert global technicians, TKE provides high-quality service to any vertical transportation equipment around the world. From remote monitoring to on-site care, TKE service prioritizes safety, minimizes downtime, and fosters more sustainable, connected cities.

Alexander Heinz, Managing Director, TK Elevator Denmark, stated: “We are delighted to have been awarded the contract with DSB again. We have greatly appreciated the cooperation in the past and look forward to contributing our expertise to support DSB’s important work of safe and smooth passenger rail travel through Denmark.”

Lars Gøtke, Director of DSB Ejendomme, commented: “We have chosen to continue our collaboration with TK Elevator A/S, which has proven to be a reliable partner with in-depth knowledge of DSB’s buildings and stations. Our customers must be confident that elevators, lifts, and escalators work when they travel on our trains. This agreement ensures more stable and efficient operation of all three, and it ensures that downtime is kept to a minimum if they are out of service.”

The new agreement between DSB and TK Elevator took effect on July 1, 2025, and will run for five years, with the possibility of an extension for up to three additional years.
