Düsseldorf (Germany), October 7, 2025 – TK Elevator (TKE), a global leader in vertical transportation and urban mobility, is setting new standards in airport digitalization as the first company worldwide to successfully implement large-scale remote and automated operation of passenger boarding bridges (PBBs). During inter airport Europe 2025 in Munich (Germany), TKE will demonstrate live how MAX Automate controls a real PBB in northern Spain – over 1,700 kilometers away – in real time. This not only demonstrates that the future of gate and turnaround management has already arrived, but also sets a new benchmark for airport operations and paves the way for further advancements in airport automation and digitalization.

inter airport Europe 2025, the leading trade fair for airport equipment, technology, and services, will take place in Munich from October 7 to 9, 2025. TK Elevator will host an exclusive press and customer event on Wednesday, October 8, at 12:00 p.m. at the TKE booth 1270 in hall B5. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience TKE’s digital solutions and innovative strength live.

At the core of this innovation is MAX Automate, a solution that enables centralized control of PBBs, streamlining processes, enhancing safety via advanced sensor and camera technology, and promoting sustainability by reducing vehicle movements and emissions on the apron. The result is faster turnaround, fewer delays, lower operating costs, and more sustainable airport logistics. The technology also promotes inclusion, allowing people with reduced mobility to operate the remote controls.

Ignacio Medina, CEO of Airport Solutions at TK Elevator, said: “With MAX Automate and our unique global remote control of real passenger boarding bridges, we are demonstrating how digitalization, artificial intelligence, and automation are taking efficiency, safety, and sustainability at airports to a new level. We are delighted to present this innovation live at inter airport Europe and to actively shape the future of aviation in dialogue with the industry.”

TKE’s comprehensive airport portfolio is complemented by the high-precision docking guidance system Apron Vision (A-VDGS), which ensures maximum safety and efficiency and seamlessly interacts with digital turnaround management systems. With these innovations, TKE is setting new standards for digitalization, sustainability, and flexibility in the airport sector.

TK Elevator will showcase its airport innovations at the inter airport Europe 2025 in Munich October 7 to 9. At booth 1270 in hall B5, visitors can learn more about the TKE MAX Automate and ApronVision – Advanced Visual Docking Guidance System.
