TK Elevator installs accessibility solutions at the new Primark in Bilbao, Spain

Düsseldorf, October 6th, 2021 – TK Elevator, a global leader in the elevator and escalator sector, provides accessibility solutions at the new Primark store in Bilbao, Spain. The company has installed six elevator units from its evolution series and nine units from its velino escalator series in the new space of the Irish retailer, located in the heart of Biscay’s capital. The company thus guarantees the mobility and comfort of customers in this four-storey store spread across more than 4,550 sq. meters.

The characteristics and technical specifications of the evolution elevators and velino escalators, the latter which are produced at TK Elevator’s factory in Spain’s Asturias region, make them ideal for this type of facility as they offer the ability to adapt to high traffic conditions with an expected use of 20 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year.

In addition, with these two solutions, TK Elevator has been able to respond to Primark's needs in terms of decoration and finishes, including the installation of 1.1 meter-high extended balustrades, prepared for Pladur cladding, LED base lighting and fall arrest barriers.

The company has also managed to perfectly meet the retailer's high technical requirements for its mobility solutions, including doors with a high-traffic operator, high-resistance stainless steel door sill plates, vandal-proof pushbuttons, pre-installed cameras in the cabins, connections to the building management system (BMS), and front-facing doors.
