Next generation stairlift: S200 from TK Elevator enables new home mobility

  • New S200 stairlift provides maximum safety, maximum comfort, and maximum convenience in an unrivalled way
  • Slim look and sophisticated design allow for minimum space requirement
  • Perfect reliability thanks to a smart built in call device

Elderly people as well as those with mobility issues often struggle to move freely in their homes from floor to floor when stairs become an obstacle to their mobility. Considering that the worldwide number of over 60-year-olds is continuously rising, the growing need for a mobility solution in homes becomes a larger concern for the homeowner and their loved ones. With the new S200, TK Elevator has created a stairlift that offers maximum comfort, safety and customization. Giving maximum independence and enhancing mobility in the home.

The S200, conceived and designed by the internationally renowned Pearson Lloyd design office, engineered, and crafted in TK Elevator’s state-of-the-art factory in the Netherlands, operates smoothly and blends in stylishly into every interior. The S200 also incorporates the latest technologies to stay in perfect working order and help you stay in touch. A special feature of S200 is the in-built call-device that allows the user to contact friends, family, and medical advisers. Three outgoing phone numbers can be programmed, and all incoming calls can be answered even when the stairlift is in motion.

The S200 is fully equipped for a maximum experience. The S200 is positioned at a convenient height, the armrests are long and tapered at the front to give customers both a secure grip and extra support when they are sitting down or standing up. The backrest was designed for the user to sit in a natural, safe position. The open sides leave plenty of space around legs, hips and waist for movement on and off the stairlift. For optimal fit, the seat and footrest are adjustable. Moreover, the footrest ensures less knee flexion, which gives the feeling of sitting in a regular chair.

The new design of the S200 monorail stairlift requires only a small part of the stairs, optimizing space so others in the household can easily use the staircase as well. The S200 can be folded up by using just one hand – or in some versions the fold can be done automatically. The S200 is controlled by a unique, easy to use flip-flop joystick that can be operated with the use of fingers, thumbs, the wrist or the side of the hand of the user. All buttons and indicator lights are easy to operate in any position.

“The S200 ensures a new level of mobility and independence for our customers in their homes. The uncompromising new sleek design offers a perfect fit to living spaces whilst maximum freedom and comfort become a permanent joy in life at home”, says Mauro Carneiro, CEO at TK Home Solutions. He adds: “As customers have been looking for the perfect mobility solution that can better assist them in their day to day life, S200’s sales in Europe have been an instant success, where customers find a wide range of new advancements that only the S200 can offer.”

Another advantage of the S200 solution: TK Elevator offers customers the opportunity to see how a stairlift will fit into their own environment via a specially developed mixed-reality solution. Microsoft-based HoloLinc uses a combination of mixed reality and a cloud-based configurator and therewith enables significantly accelerated delivery times. All measurements can be done in just one visit. The results can be visualized straight away with virtual-reality glasses or on a tablet. This simplifies and speeds up the whole design process for engineer, so that the new stairlift can be delivered and installed very quickly, very often in less than 14 days.
